Florian Butsch

Florian Butsch is a Research Engineer in the Automation Systems department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS. He earned his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich, specializing in machine learning, robotics and automation. Since joining Fraunhofer IKS, Florian Butsch has focused on applied research in the domain of generative AI. His work includes exploring the use of Large Language Models for Safety engineering and other critical domains as well as improving the reliability of RAG systems and handling documents correctly in the generative AI context.
