It is now "official": Fraunhofer IKS demonstrably sets the highest standards for the quality of its research work. This is confirmed by the certification according to ISO 9001, which the institute has recently passed successfully.

Approximately five years after its establishment, the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS has received certification for its quality management from Dekra according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This internationally recognized standard signifies effective quality management focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
The successful certification underscores the institute's commitment to the highest quality standards in research and development, resulting in significant benefits for customers and partners.

It is based on a clear definition and regulation of all processes relevant to research and development work. The certified quality management shows its benefits in the daily work on research and development projects. Structured processes, regular reviews and feedback loops ensure that each project not only meets the requirements of customers and partners but exceeds them. Among other things, an internal review meeting is held at the end of each project, in which the project is evaluated from initialization to completion and improvement measures are derived to do an even better job in the next project. This makes it possible to develop innovative solutions that meet the constantly growing demands of the industry.
