What you will do

We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead medium to large-scale multi-year research projects in the area of safety assurance of cognitive cyber-physical systems. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring that the research results are delivered on time and budget by supporting a diverse team of talented researchers to meet project objectives. This includes working with partners from other research institutions as well as industry as part of publicly and industrially funded projects.

What you bring to the table

  • Master or doctoral degree in computer science, mathematics, control systems or similar studies
  • Highly motivated with an independent way of working and a critical thinking mindset
  • Preferably, initial experience in the areas of safety and artificial intelligence
  • Excellent project management skills, including the use of agile methods
  • Experience in coordinating research projects, including the interaction with industrial and academic partners as part of publicly funded programmes
  • Team player (doer and thinker)
  • Working level of English and German

A strong plus if you also bring in

  • Experience in engaging with industry or working in industry
  • Experience in writing research grant proposals
